Enzyme Complex

Life is a controlled series of interacting enzymatic processes. Enzymes are „tool“ proteins made in biological cells that catalyze biochemical reactions in the organism.

Biochemical function:

Ingested enzymes support the organism in digesting nutrients and thus ensure a better nutrient supply and more vitality. The more enzymes are ingested through (raw) food, the stronger the support of the pancreas and metabolic processes. Cooked food stays longer in the digestive tract. Raw, and thus enzyme-rich food, on the other hand, relieves the pancreas, digestion and metabolism.

Natural sources:

Enzymes are found in sun-ripened fruit like pineapple, figs, kiwi fruit, papaya and in carrots, cabbage, garlic, radish, beetroot, sauerkraut, celery, onions and many other naturally ripened vegetables and fresh herbs.

Benefits:

• Better digestion of foods

• Helps digestion

• For a healthy intestinal flora

• Stimulates the metabolism

The ingredients:

Papain is an enzyme, naturally found in the still greenish skin and the seeds of the papaya fruit, that is able to break proteins. Olive leaf extract contains the active ingredient oleuropein, a polyphenol (bioactive substance found in plants) having a strong antioxidant activity. The concentration is much higher in the leaves than in the fruit, root or bark. Bromelain is extracted from the pineapple plant and is the name of two enzymes helping to break down fibrin (a protein involved in the clotting of blood). Actinidain is an enzyme found in a certain New Zealand kiwi fruit variety. It influences the digestive process directly and aids protein metabolism. Algae complex consisting of ascophyllum nodosum, chlorella, lithothamnion and spirulina: rich in minerals and trace elements, consumption of algae has a long tradition in Asia. Yucca extract is rich in enzymes and secondary metabolites, especially saponins (from Latin = soap) with their purifying effect. Lactobacillus acidophilus is a probiotic bacterium occurring naturally in the gastrointestinal tract, for example. Bifidobacterium bifidum (Bifidobacteria) are one of the major genera of bacteria residing in the intestinal tract, among others.
